DRDF wins bidding on CHED-GTS data entry development

After its fifth attempt in winning the bid, the Demographic Research and Development Foundation, Inc. (DRDF) has finally been selected to be the service provider in developing the data entry system for the Commission on Higher Education (CHED)’s latest Graduate Tracer Study (GTS) Program, awarded this April 2018.

The GTS Program is a periodic activity done by CHED that gathers timely and pertinent information on the performance of higher education institutions and its graduates. Findings from this study aims to identify several policy issues of higher education institutions (HEIs) in the country.
In 2013, CHED in collaboration with the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS), conducted the fourth round of GTS. Information from graduates during periods 2009 to 2011 all over the country were collected, except in Regions IVB, VIII and Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM). Data collection was held from July 2014 to June 2015, and a total of 10,521 questionnaires were completed.

On its next step, CHED has invited several research institutions and data experts to express interest and bid for the its data processing stage, to ensure data quality and integrity, and encoding are aligned with exemplary protocols.

Being selected as the bid winner, DRDF is expected to provide a data entry program, a clean data set, and a data processing report. The project shall commence immediately, expected to finish after six months after its awarding.
